Summer to fall

There's a lot going on in this look and I love it all. Real ingenuity in pairing a green lace dress with a zebra jacket. The shoes are a nice touch (whoa they're high). What I really love about the 'Italian look' is the hair - I mean it's awful - it looks either dirty or wet, it's in a scrawny ponytail and is quite severe. That said, it's totally chic. Doesn't that just drive you crazy? And just when I'd all but given up on Mr. Sartorialist. His subject matter has become less diverse over time, which means far fewer women above the age of say, 20. And fewer men and certainly fewer men in l'age and beyond which I always found far more interesting than another slate of sweet young things, and a close second to women in l'age. Now it seems to be all about extremes of fashion and, frankly, teenage fashion, which has little interest for me. If I want to look at pretty teenagers I can read American Vogue and its ilk. But this look is inspiring and a rather nice transition from summer to fall.
